NEACH’s Role in the Transformative Kings Co-op Project at Brisbane Showgrounds
NEACH was proudly involved in the Kings Co-op project, as a key subcontractor to fabricate and install structural steel. A key component of the regeneration effort to rejuvenate some of the most cherished structures and spaces at the Brisbane Showgrounds. This innovative project, led by Lendlease, aims to blend the historical essence of the Showgrounds with modern design and functionality, creating a vibrant community hub.
Revitalizing Historic Spaces
The Kings Co-op is part of a broader $2.9 billion, 15-year regeneration project at Brisbane Showgrounds, focusing on the rejuvenation of iconic structures and provide further upgrades to one of Brisbane’s fastest growing suburbs. This initiative seeks to honour the legacy of these spaces by incorporating existing architecture and landscapes while using reclaimed materials from within the Showgrounds precinct. The project exemplifies a thoughtful approach to preservation and modernization, ensuring these historic buildings continue to be a central part of Brisbane’s cultural landscape.
